Woodworkers Support Children
|
A Toledo business catering to woodworkers and craftsmen is reaching out to children who are victims of abuse or neglect.
Woodcraft, located at 5311 Reynolds Road in Toledo, is encouraging its customers to use their woodworking skills to build wooden toys for children served by Lucas County Children Services this holiday season.
“We have turners who can make tops, carvers who can make puppets and whistles, and furniture makers who can make trucks, wagons, and doll furniture,” says Carroll Nystrom, one of the owners/managers of Woodcraft.
Woodworkers living outside of Lucas County can also elect to send their toys to other regional agencies participating in the program, which runs through December 16.
For more information, call Woodcraft at 419-389-0560.
